PROM NIGHT!!!

Pre-Prom
Started off the evening waiting for the girls to get ready. Typically, Aud, Ade, Cher took AGES to be ready =P. Was at the lobby at 5 pm, me xp and ben. We were joined by
Desmond's gang a while later (David, Jun Jie, Jaryl, Kwee Haan). Spent the time listening to them toking cok (Jaryl kept saying he was goinna get nosebleeds from looking at the waitresses), telling dirty jokes and catching up . . .

We were finally let into the hotel room after what seemed an eternity . . . . First time seeing the girls all made up, in dresses, make-up, and high heels (only time u'll be taller than me Aud =P ). Wonder how much hair-spray it took to get their hair into that shape tho =X.

Prom
Descended to the pacific ballroom for the dinner (love the exterior bubble lifts). Standard 8 course stuff, like cold dish (see who eat more octopus and rubber bands (jelly fish). . .munch much munch), then shark's fin (rather gluey, the broth), prawns (had to peel for the girls), roast chicken, steamed sea bass (yuck got bone and scales), mushroom and spinach (eeeww), Ee-fu noodles, then some funny chestnut dessert. The entertainment was ok, but didn't like the band music (a bit noisy and discordant for my taste), and the techno/upbeat music wasn't suitable for the dancing we learned . . .

Post-Prom
Next was after dinner photos, where we lost several people several times in the jam packed reception area. By the time we retired to the room (real fun taking photos in the bubble lift as it ascended), it was 1 + am liao. Plans of midnight movies were abandoned (couldn't find any shows), and we spent the night/morning? tramping through the city areas, from Pan Pacific, to marna square, the Esplanade, and the Fullerton, taking various pictures along the scenic route. Must've been agony for the girls in heels. . .Learned to use a digicam and its various night functions for the first time. My first time seeing the sights in the early morning (2-3am). Really enjoyed strolling along the quiet backlit roads, and the lighted buildings. Strangely enough, I was still feeling high and ecstatic despite the late hour (even without coffee and chocolates). When it comes to staying awake, it's the company that matters.

By the time we retired to the hotel room to bath and change, it was already 4 in the morning. Took out the chocolate snowman to eat, where Ade, with her typical violent tendency ripped its poor chocolaty head off . . . haha. While some of them slept (xp, yinsy, zhen yee, david, jaryl) the rest of us (charged up on coffee and chocolate) got embroiled in a pillow fight. The cause? Abduction of Candyfloss, Aud's bear, by Ade and Cher. Bopping each other over the head with pillows suddenly embroiled into a taupoking session the moment I lay down to rest. Despite their (Aud, Ade, Cher, Yan Cheng) best efforts, their combined weight was not enough to hold me down, nya nya =P. The victims were alternated in quick succession, for some reason me being the main target (haha, can't taupok . . . OOoofff. . . me . . . ), with some resting periods between poks. When we were too exhausted to pok each other anymore (the room being a total mess =P ) We settled down for a session of truth or dare. For some reason, Yan Cheng is obsessed with dares involving kissing . . . (btw, u still owe us a dare). After which, the others went home except for Xp, me, Aud, Ade, Cher and Qiu Hui.

We rested for awhile before going swimming ( . . . maybe can't call it swimming - there wasn't much actual swimming involved) at 7 plus in the morning, at the hotel pool. The water was exceptionally cold, but it was not that bad if we were playing vigorous games, like tag, and doing "stunts" like flips (back and forth), pyramids etc. Got out of the pool when we started having sneezing and shivering fits, for a nice hot blessed bath . . .
Got termed "Bathroom Service" ( in lieu of room service ) when I helped the girls Aud, Ade and Cher run their bath. Got revenge by squirting cold water on them, though I made up for it by eventually set up a "Water Fountain" out of some plastic bottles and the sink (genius right?)

Lazed and slacked around the hotel room while waiting for the others to bathe and change, during which I dozed off . . . . . . only to wake with Ade and Cher's feet at my back, almost pushing me off the bed. O well, it was time to migrate, upon which a "territorial conflict" ensued when the natives ( Aud ) refused to share their land. After much pushing, shoving and burrowing ( yes, I know it sounds weird, but there was burrowing ), a compromise was reached, and peace reigned . . . at least for awhile, before another brief pillow-fight and taupoking session erupted when Aud stole my pillow. It was then a quizzing session, where Aud the"Master" displayed her knowledge of nursery rhymes . . . haha, followed by an impromptu K-box session, with Aud and xp being the main participants. By the time Cherlyn's mom came, we were all packed and ready, though we had to tidy up the room a bit before we left (it looked like a war zone) ate at Carl's Jr for lunch, where I shared a meal with Aud. Dunno how XP and Ade can put it it all in . . . We didn't even finish our drink, while they managed to drink 2 full cups each. Wonder what's the capacity of their stomachs . . .

On the train back home . . . still not sleepy. The exhaustion hit at around 8, where I conked out until 8 the next day. 12 whole hours of sleep . . .
